Timefold: A photo album you can walk into

There is usually a point where looking at an old photograph ends. You zoom in, notice a detail, then move to the next picture. Timefold offers another possibility: keep going into the scene.

Suveen Ellawela’s desktop experiment arranges a personal photo collection in three-dimensional space, grouping images by time or place. Choose one and World Labs’ Marble API can turn it into an explorable scene. A picture from your folders becomes the beginning of somewhere to wander.

The project is available through its source repository for people who want to run it locally.
