Bill Stiteler used Suno AI to turn lyrics about his Puerto Rico holiday into a song. The whole plane clapped when it landed. There was a bus to Caguas and a stop at the slot machines. The Puerto Rico Song remembers a trip through the details you might tell your friends, not the sights you would put on a billboard.
He released it alongside his original travel reel. Its cheerful, slightly cheesy sound feels like the work of someone still delighted by his holiday. That enthusiasm is difficult to resist.
A second trip, with a film crew
By May 2026, ABC News reported that the sound had appeared in more than 46,000 TikTok posts. Discover Puerto Rico then invited Stiteler back and worked with him on an official music video, released in July.
The two videos tell the story together. The original reel is the personal souvenir that started it; the official film takes Stiteler around the island to revisit the places and experiences in his lyrics. An organisation promoting Puerto Rico found an unlikely ambassador in someone who had already fallen for it.
